ESS supplied a 66.9 x 31.8m temporary venue for the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2008 at the Fountainebleau Hotel, Miami Beach on 15th November 2008. The show starred models including Heidi Klum and was aired on CBC on 3rd December.
The structure accommodated a 25,000 sq. ft. floor space on two levels including stage level 14ft above the ground with seating risers stepping up to 30ft. The structure took 700 man days to install and was shipped in thirteen sea containers from London, Tokyo and Sydney to USA where it was then transported on thirteen 48’ semis from Pennsylvania.
The steel skeleton of the structure is engineered to withstand 146mph wind (with fabric removed) and can support a show load of 132,000lb. It is held down by a combined concrete foundation and ballast weight of circa 700,000lb and is covered by over 50,000 sq. ft. of fabric.
